My visit to Uganda in October 2010 was a challenging, life changing experience, which has left me with vivid memories. It’s incredible to think that in our modern society, with all our technological advances, that millions continue to suffer daily because of the lack of clean drinking water. On our trip we were so impressed by the dedicated team of Fields Of Life engineers who have already provided new wells for many thousands that we came back home to Northern Ireland, determined to do something to support them in this very needy work. When I was in Uganda I was overwhelmed by the terrible poverty and a verse from 1 John 3 v 17 brought a great challenge to me “If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in Him?” I commend the Water for Life Challenge to you for support.
