When I was approached by Angus Wilson of Fields Of Life, to go to Uganda on a fact finding mission I was keen to get back to Africa. I had seen the tourist bits of Africa during and after apartheid but Uganda is something different.

It is raw, beautiful and thrilling. Its people are innocent and have been subjected to decades of neglect and abuse during internal strife. They badly need our help. Disease is rife and we resolved to do something to ease their plight.

We saw people drinking dirty water and we decided to fund an additional drilling rig for FOL. The trip has been a life changing experience for me and I hope we can change the lives of some of the poorest in Ugandan society—They deserve it.
